How to care for my leotard

To keep your FlexiFash items looking their best, please follow the care guidelines below:

Fabric Types

Our fabrics fall into two categories:

Durable Fabrics
Nylon/Spandex, Velvet, DryTech

  • Designed for long-lasting wear
  • Please note: DryTech may shrink if exposed to heat

Delicate Fabrics
Hologram, Mesh, Mystique (“glitz”)

  • More sensitive to wear, heat, and friction
  • May fade or lose shine over time with repeated wear and washing

Washing Instructions

  • Hand wash in cold water only
  • Use a mild liquid detergent
  • Wash garments separately and inside out
  • Rinse immediately after washing
  • Do not soak

Drying Instructions

  • Gently press with a towel to remove excess water
  • Hang to air dry (preferably on a thick hanger)
  • Avoid direct sunlight and heat

Important Care Guidelines

  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not iron
  • Do not dry clean
  • Do not use fabric softener (this can damage adhesives and embellishments)

Caring for Delicate & Rhinestone Garments

  • Handle with care — avoid rubbing or excessive stretching
  • Some rhinestone loss or dulling may occur over time
  • Avoid rough surfaces and friction

Extra Care Tips

  • Avoid spraying deodorant, perfume, or hairspray directly onto the garment
  • Cover your leotard when applying aerosols
  • Perspiration and certain deodorants may affect colour and fabric finish
  • Do not leave damp garments in bags — rinse and dry as soon as possible

Colour Care

  • Colours may vary slightly due to screen settings and fabric batches
  • Some fabrics (especially Mystique colours like pink, black, navy, and red) may be prone to colour transfer
  • Avoid combining light and dark fabrics when damp
